We are a husband-and-wife team with two busy kids, managing our own rental properties right here in New Zealand. Like many everyday investors, we found ourselves completely overwhelmed by the constant admin—chasing maintenance requests over messy email threads, hunting for lost receipts, and drowning in clunky spreadsheet updates.
We searched everywhere for an all-in-one solution that was simple, stress-free, and kept our data securely in our own hands. When we couldn't find it, we decided to build it.
Vanquish was born out of our family’s real-world need to cut through the property management chaos, consolidate our data, and get our weekends back. We built it to solve our headaches, and now we’ve designed it to solve yours.

Welcome to Vanquish. By downloading our mobile app or using our website, you agree to these Terms of Service.
1. Description of Service Vanquish provides an all-in-one property management dashboard for tracking tenants, maintenance, expenses, and portfolio financials.
2. Account Registration & Security To use the app and start your free trial, you must register an account. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
3. Third-Party Banking Integrations (Akahu) Vanquish integrates with Akahu for automated bank transaction syncing. By connecting your bank account, you acknowledge and agree to Akahu’s terms and authorize the read-only extraction of your financial data to populate your Vanquish ledger.
4. Data Ownership & Sovereignty You retain complete ownership of all data, text, files, and information you upload to Vanquish. You are free to export your consolidated financial records and property data at any time without penalty.
5. Limitation of Liability Vanquish is a tracking and management tool. We provide financial overviews and analytics but do not offer official accounting, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for ensuring your data aligns with local IRD (NZ) or ATO (AU) tax requirements.
6. Governing Law These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.
Because you are tracking real, living individuals (tenants), your Privacy Policy must strictly comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

At Vanquish, we are deeply committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you maintain total control over your portfolio information.
1. Information We Collect
User Data: Name, email address, and billing information collected during your account setup or free trial registration.
Property & Tenant Data: Information you manually enter regarding your rental properties, lease agreements, and tenant details.
Financial Data: Read-only transaction histories securely imported via Akahu following your explicit connection authorization.
2. How We Use Your Information We use your data strictly to run the features of the Vanquish app—including automating expense categories, organizing maintenance histories, and calculating portfolio yields. We never sell, rent, or trade your data to third-party advertising networks.
3. Data Storage and Security Your data is securely housed using industry-standard encrypted cloud servers. Bank connection data is managed natively through Akahu's bank-grade security protocols.
4. Tenant Privacy Responsibilities As a landlord using Vanquish, you are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate rights and permissions from your tenants to input their names, contact info, and lease variables into the system.
5. Your Rights to Access and Export In alignment with data sovereignty principles, you can access, edit, correct, or completely delete your account data and export your historical files at any time.
Because Akahu handles the highly regulated Open Banking data for your users, you shouldn't guess or rewrite their security protocols from scratch. You want to use their exact compliance-approved architecture terms to build absolute trust with your landlords.
To get the exact text and assets:
Visit the Akahu Security Page: Go directly to akahu.nz/security (or check their official Developer Documentation hub).
What to look for and copy: Look for their official statements on Bank-grade security, OAuth implementation(meaning Vanquish never sees or stores bank passwords), and AES-256 data encryption.
How to frame it on your Vanquish page: Use a dedicated "Data Security" sub-page or block on your Squarespace site using this exact structure:
🛡️ Bank-Grade Security via Akahu
Vanquish utilises Akahu, New Zealand’s premier Open Banking integration network, to securely connect to your financial institutions.
No Stored Credentials: Your login details are handled entirely by your bank and Akahu using secure OAuth tokens. Vanquish never sees, accesses, or stores your bank passwords.
Read-Only Access: Your bank feeds are strictly read-only. The system can only import transactions for smart coding—no one can ever move money or execute transactions via Vanquish.
Fully Encrypted: All data passed between your bank, Akahu, and Vanquish is secured using industry-standard end-to-end encryption.
